As we worked to simplify our insurance, we also evolved to do the same for monitoring. We shift from developing our own devices to creating an integrated app where users can simply connect their home’s smart metres (Linky), and from one place have a full view of their energy consumption. In July of 2021, this feature was fully live to Luko insurers and app users.
Through the years, promoting eco-actions at home has been a topic to create a dialogue with customers. In our library of articles, we work on developing useful content that cover insurance tips, prevention of damage, and eco-actions. Among the topics we have tackled are:
We also give the possibility for users who chose the “Extended coverage” to call experts for free through visio-conference, and get advice about how to better take care of their homes (heating system, etc).
Although we see an great potential to use insurance as a vehicle to support homes in the eco-transition, we are aware that we are still just scratching the surface of this challenge which will still require much iteration, collaboration and exploration to arrive in a solution that can drive down homes CO2 emissions as we help them be better prepared to face weather events. Our challenge is to embed into our services ways to help our customers to reduce their own foot-print at home while improving their safety. We will keep growing awareness around the subject while also piloting new initiatives together with our product teams to achieve our objective of supporting homes in their eco-transition.
